Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
One of my pet hates on here is this type of thread when a poster thinks of a player who may be available then starts a thread on him asking if we should buy him. It's only ok if you're 12 years old.

And the answer is no, as that would mean we would be Stoke fucking City, would it not?

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
not for me. very good player but with a defence like ours, I'm not sure how many playmakers we can accommodate at the same time, a choice between him or arnie, I go ARNIE

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
If Lanzini were to go elsewhere in the summer, then perhaps, but he'd have to lose a couple of stone - he's porkier than Payet.

West Ham already has one dwarf too many thanks...

Not for me, doesn't work hard enough, plus more prominent areas to resolve

All day long for me... class player

Doesn't work hard enough!

I actually thought the complete opposite! Every time I see him play, I think he looks like he's putting in a proper shift whilst being technically superb.

He will go somewhere decent - Can see him at a top 6/7 side a least, or back to the continent.

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
I-Ron and myself wanted this bloke back before he came over to Stoke. I wanted us to sign Andy Robertson when he was at Dundee United as well. The sooner I’m Director of Football the better.

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
everybody knew Robertson was good. Our board didnt want him as we had an in form Cresswell.

I still would of bought him

If the money was right then definitely. Considering Antonio is made of glass.

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
I'd have him over Mario.

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
I'd take him to replace Antonio. But not sure if we could accommodate him with the current squad as an addition.

Northern Sold 6:36 Mon Apr 9
Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
Good thing about him is that Sulli' will probably squeeze him into a Youth shirt to save a few bob...

I don't disagree, but since we never have a fit squad to pick from managing playing time is next to impossible.

For how many games have we had a full squad available?

Kite 7:49 Mon Apr 9
Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
Definitely.

And going by his comments the other week while on international duty he wants out in the summer, regardless if they stay up or not.

Better player than Antonio, will be an upgrade, but unfortunately we are looking at the likes of Tom Cairney.

Re: Xherdan Shaqiri
Looks and behaves too much like Harry Enfield, but it would be interesting to hear if Arnie would want to link up with him again.
